T-Mobile will use Android on Netbooks by next year

T-Mobile, the first network provider to use the Android open mobile platform, has revealed its plans of using Android on netbooks. This will bring us closer to truly blurring the line between a mobile phone and a computer bring the advent of a really connected phone in the horizon.

According to the New York Times article, T-Mobile plans at least a couple of home devices — a home phone and a tablet computer — based on the Android operating system.

This is actually becoming a trend among hardware companies with HP and Asus actually also testing the use of Android on netbooks. The next models of netbooks may well have mobile phone functions built into them.
