Nokia N900 connected phone – Unboxing

The loooong wait is over. Today, I received a trial unit of the Nokia N900 from WomWorld/Nokia. I am going to have the chance to use and try out the Maemo based Nokia N900 for 4 short weeks. After receiving the package, I quickly took the N900 out of the DHL packaging. I took some pics of it just to remind me that today I am actually going to have some hands-on with the N900.

The Nokia N900 box came with the Nokia N900 mobile phone unit,  a battery, a charger, a data cable, a charger adaptor, a set of earphones, spare earbuds for the earphones. Here’s some pics of the Nokia N900 I received.

After getting the Nokia N900 out of the box, I put a SIM and the battery into the mobile phone unit. But it looks like the battery wasn’t charging ‘coz the indicator light wasn’t blinking. After almost an hour plugged in, I tried turning on the N900 phone. The Nokia logo got displayed but after the logo, I just get a blank black screen.

Looks like I would have to wait a while longer to get my hands on a Nokia N900 mobile phone. For now, I’m sending the cell phone back. Hopefully I can get a working phone soon.
