Android 2.2 aka Froyo coming to Galaxy S tomorrow
Samsung’s current Android super phone, the Samsung Galaxy S, has been more or less selling like hotcakes. SK Telecom in South Korea has already sold over 500,000 units of the Galaxy S in one month. The Galay S offers a big 800×480 pixel 4.0 inch display that uses Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology. It also uses Samsung’s fast ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor.

Currently, the Galaxy S comes with Android 2.1 aka Eclair installed but the newest available Android version is 2.2 also known as the Froyo update. One of the most compelling changes that Froyo has to offer is the optimizations for speed done by the Android development team. Having Android 2.2 on the Galaxy S will surely make the mobile phone fly not that it’s not already flying with its current Eclair firmware.
The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy S will soon get a fresh update of it’s Android mobile platform — version 2.2 aka Froyo. And a global update may be coming as soon as tomorrow if this tweet is any indication.
