Apple’s quarter earnings out, sells 8.4 million iPhones
Apple continues to hit record numbers. Apple has just announced its financial earnings for its fiscal 2010 third quarter that ended June 26, 2010. In this quarter, Apple has posted a record revenue of $15.7 billion with a net quarterly profit of $3.25 billion. International sales for the company has accounted for 52 percent of the quarter’s revenue.
Aside from the great sales performance of the iPad with 3.27 million units sold, Apple has sold 8.4 million iPhones in the just finished quarter. This should put the total iPhones in the market to about 60 million units. With more than 3 million iPhone 4 units already sold in spite of recent antenna issues, Apple has been raking in the profits with 4 billion in cash this quarter.
Apple also sold 3.47 million Macs during the quarter, representing a new quarterly record and a 33 percent unit increase over the year-ago quarter.
