RIM has announced the launch of the first ever BlackBerry® DEVCON Europe and the second BlackBerry® DEVCON Asia — and now they’re announcing the venues. BlackBerry DEVCON Asia will be held in December in Bangkok, Thailand. And BlackBerry DEVCON Europe will be in Amsterdam on February 7 & 8, 2012.
The Call for Papers has been extended. The deadline is now Friday July 15th for BlackBerry DEVCON Asia and Friday September 16th for DevCon Europe.

If you just upgraded to BlackBerry App World™ storefront v2.1.2.15 and the icon is suddenly missing on your phone, there’s a fix for that.
For those of you who are using a BlackBerry® smartphone with BlackBerry® Software v4.6 and v4.7, your BlackBerry App World icon may have disappeared after installing the update. You can get it back by downloading the released fixed which is BlackBerry App World v2.1.2.19.

All BlackBerry mobile phone users can now start downloading the new BlackBerry AppWorld v1.1 software into their BlackBerry cell phones. One feature of the new AppWorld that stands out is the ability for BlackBerry users to archive the applications they have into a microSD card. Apps on a BlackBerry smartphone is installed in the mobile phone’s flash memory, with the new archiving feature, you can store the app on the microSD™ card and restore it when you want to use it.

Blackberry, a mobile phone line created by RIM, has been popular among business users because of its strong support for enterprise messaging infrastructures.
