iSync Nokia N900 Maemo with Mac OS X Addressbook / Calendar

I’ve finally gotten a replacement Nokia N900 mobile phone from WomWorld / Nokia yesterday. The first thing I tried out on the N900 when I got it up and running yesterday was the web browser. I tried browsing the Connected Phone site to see if it will render properly on the N900 and it did. Before starting off several articles about the Nokia N900, I thought I’d post something about syncing the Mac OS X addressbook and calendar with the Maemo based Nokia N900.

Sync Nokia Phones with iTunes music and iPhoto on Mac OS X

After having been able to sync my Contacts with my Mac notebook using iSync, I was surprised that I could actually also sync the music on my Symbian based Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic mobile phone with my iTunes music library in Mac OSX. Being a long time Linux user, I had always find it easy to sync my phone’s music files with Ubuntu’s Rhythmbox. It’s was just a matter of being able to mount my Nokia mobile phone as a USB storage device in Ubuntu.

Sync Nokia Symbian Contacts / Calendar on Mac OS X using iSync

I’ve recently started using Mac OSX. One of the mobile phones I use is the Symbian based Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic. And I’ve found out that Nokia doesn’t actually ship a Mac OSX version of their PC Suite / Ovi Suite. After scourging thru the Internet, I’ve actually found a solution to sync my contacts and calendar to my Mac notebook — using the Mac OSX iSync tool.
