I’ve decided to spend a lot more time online starting this year, in order to do that one of the things I’ve decided was I need a very good Twitter client on my Symbian based Nokia 5800 mobile phone. I’ve tried out several Twitter clients for my mobile phone (I’ll write another post on this because these Twitter clients do have their own merits) and I found Gravity from MobileWays to be the best fit for my needs.

I was able to get a copy of the upcoming Tweeteev for the Android open mobile platform so I took it for a spin to find out what these guys are busy doing. The copy I got was still alpha quality so some of the things you’ll read and see on this post may change. With the increasing use of connected phones, especially with its higher resolution screens, instant messaging on mobile phones has increased in popularity. Mobile network providers has also opened up their networks to encourage people to use their cell phones to connect to the Internet. I compiled a list of available instant messaging software applications that you can install/use on your mobile phone so that you can communicate with your online buddies, friends and family. Some has even provided support for the popular social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
