Opera Mobile 10 now available for Windows Mobile phones

You can now download the Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile. Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile is a step closer for Opera into it’s goal of unifying the web browsing across it’s different platforms. The Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile have a similar feel to the Opera 10 web browser for the desktop and Opera Mini 5 which is currently also in beta.

Firefox Mobile gets official emblem

Mozilla, the organization that manages the development and community collaboration for the Firefox web browser, has started developing a mobile version of its Mozilla Firefox web browser a while back. The Mobile Firefox version, officially know as Fennec, started out with a Windows Mobile version of the web browser. A version for the upcoming Nokia N900 connected phone that runs the new Maemo 5 mobile platform is also under development. In line with Mozilla’s thrust into the mobile space it has just announced the winner of its “Firefox goes mobile” design challenge. The winner is the PocketFox design by Yaroslaff Chekunov who hails from Russia.

Windows Mobile 6.5 exclusive walkthrough

The Inquirer has an exclusive walththrough of the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 being dubbed as the Windows Phone operating system. The operating system is running on the new HTC Touch Diamond2. Android, iPhone, Windows Mobile platform updates

It looks like June will be a busy month for mobile platform updates. Besides the announced availability of the Palm Pre on June 6, the Android open mobile platform version 1.5 cupcake revisions has been bumped off to early June.

Windows Mobile 6.5 is now finished and will soon be available according to the Windows Dev Team Twitter updates. What’s even more interesting is the upcoming Apple Development Conference in June which has raised speculations and discussions on the Net that not only will it feature the iPhone OS 3.0 release but also a new iPhone HW as well. The Apple WWDC has been sold out as of now.

Window Mobile 6.5 themes gets serious

I started something has posted an article of what looks like some awesome improvements to the themes for Windows Mobile with the upcoming version 6.5. The new designs are at least a magnitude better than what I’ve use on my HP mobile phone. I wonder if we’ll ever see a trend of mobile phone manufacturers providing long term support for operating system upgrades. Anyway, here’s a couple of shots of the new theme designs from the istartedsomething post.
